The annual Platform® American Miniature Horse Registry (AMHR) National Championship Show is took center stage September 6-17th at the Expo Square Arena in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The 2007 Platform® AMHR National Championship Show is more than 6500 entries competing for over $50,000 in cash and prizes.
The Platform® AMHR National Championship show offered over 300 classes for Miniatures Horses. Classes were split for division “A” Miniatures called “Under”, which stand at 34”and under and Division “B” Miniatures called “Over”, which can measure up to 38” tall. These miniature horses competed in driving, jumping, costume, youth classes, amateur classes and halter.
Top honors in the halter division go to the Grand Champion Mare, Stallion, and Gelding. The 2007 Grand Champion Mare Under was Michigan’s Sharp Little Image owned and shown by Edward McCarthy II. Grand Champion Mare Over was awarded to Starstrucks Gold’s Bay Beauty owned by Bobbie Kay Bower. Grand Champion Gelding Under honors went to Tibbs Chico Bandito owned by Tracey and Corey Conrad and shown by Mike McCabe. Grand Champion Gelding Over went to Wallstreets Rock E Mr. Mitz, owned by Larry and Debra Laramore and shown by Belinda Bagby. Tops in the stallions division went to Grand Champion Stallion Under, D &S Pharoah’s Fortune owned by Vickie Tobin and Ericka Killian, shown by Larry Parnell . Grand Champion Stallion over went to N.J.’s Sandhill Spirit owned by Andrew and Laurie Villalpando, shown by Gary Yeager, Jr. Complete results for the show can be found at www.horseshowsonline.com.
This year the show highlights will be televised to air on RFD-TV on October 21st at 4 PM EST.
