The Mane Event Kicks Off the 2007-2008 Season
November 15-18, 2007
The second weekend of November brings some amazing equestrian action to the Florida Horse Park, as an all-star line up of national and international competitors kick off the season with a Two-Star International Event, a nationally recognized horse trials and the Sunshine State Combined Driving Event.
Thursday and Friday horses and riders compete in the first phase of competition, dressage. Saturday and Sunday will be filled with jumping action, as both cross-country jumping and stadium jumping will take place on these days.
Sunday, the Park will also host the Sunshine State Combined Driving Event where horses, carriages and drivers will compete in three phases of competition: dressage, driving cones and marathon.

The Florida Horse Park is currently accepting entries for its very first Entry Level competition to be held during The Mane Event, November 16-18, 2007. The Entry Level competition will consist of a dressage test (Beginner Novice Test A), the specially designed Equestrian Center at Horse Creek course with obstacles not exceeding 2' and a stadium jumping phase with jumps not exceeding 2'. This is a perfect way for beginner riders and horses to experience the thrill of competition while being able to test themselves at the appropriate level.
