Modern Arabian Horse, the official magazine of the Arabian Horse Association (AHA), was awarded the 2007 Pegasus Award for Media as Equine Publication of the Year (Affiliate) and the prestigious Daniel P. Lenehan Memorial Trophy for Overall Excellence in Media by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) during their 2008 Annual Meeting. The honors were awarded by USEF President David O'Connor to AHA President Myron Krause January 10 at the Louisville Downtown Marriott.
Modern Arabian Horse becomes the first Arabian horse publication to be awarded the Daniel P. Lenehan Memorial Trophy for Overall Media Excellence. This is also the magazine's first Pegasus Award. The magazine was founded in 1979 and was redesigned in April 2007.
"This recognition by our equine industry peers at USEF is tremendously gratifying," said Dan Lawrence, Sr. Director of Marketing and Sales for AHA. "The marketing publications group has been working tirelessly for more than a year to bring the dream of a new breed lifestyle magazine to fruition, and to see this honor in only its first 5 issues is testament to the team's dogged determination to produce a magazine for which AHA members can be proud to have on their coffee tables," added Lawrence

Modern Arabian Horse currently serves as the official publication of the Arabian Horse Association. Modern Arabian Horse's editorial content focuses on training and breeding advances and innovations, the health of the Arabian horse, AHA events, the people who have shaped this wonderful breed and show activities. AHA is a 40,000 member equine association that registers and maintains a database of more then one million Arabian, Half-Arabian and Anglo-Arabian horses.
