New Holland T4000 Series Utility tractors pack big power in small size

New Holland’s versatile new 64- to 95-hp T4000 Series are small, highly maneuverable utility tractors packed with features that increase productivity for all types of operations. Whether faced with the demands of landscaping, municipal maintenance work, turf management or farm chores, T4000 Series tractors can match the requirements of the job with a variety of features and options not often found on utility tractors.

Four-cylinder engines
All T4000 Series tractors are powered by Tier III emissions-compliant four-cylinder engines. The engines are turbocharged and intercooled for maximum fuel efficiency, and are approved for use with B100 biodiesel fuel meeting ASTM 6751 standards. A low 2300-rpm rated engine speed reduces noise, vibration and engine wear.

SuperSteer™ front axle and Auto FWD
T4000 Series tractors are available with a choice of 2WD, FWD or New Holland’s exclusive SuperSteer™ FWD axle, one of the most innovative features of New Holland tractors. The optional SuperSteer™ front axle, available on the T4030 and T4050, offers a super-tight turning angle that saves time during every pass since there’s no need to back up or “swing wide” to make a turn.

When equipped with the SuperSteer axle, T4000 Series tractors also feature a Traction Management System that automatically engages and disengages FWD only when it’s needed to improve traction, save fuel, and extend tire life. This Auto FWD feature makes it easy for novice drivers, as well as for fleet owners with many different operators using the same unit, to effectively take advantage of FWD.

More transmission options
T4000 Series tractors offer a 12x12 Synchro Command™ mechanical, fully synchronized transmission with synchronized forward/reverse shuttle, or a 16x16 Synchro Command synchronized transmission with mechanical or electro-hydraulic power shuttle.

The 16x16 transmissions have three gears under one mph to allow work at slow speeds without the need for a specialized creeper transmission. Both the 16x16 mechanical and power shuttle units are available with an optional 25-mph (40-kph) transmission to decrease travel time between job sites. (Actual speeds vary by tire size.)

Shifting from forward to reverse is easy. Every model—no matter which transmission—has a dedicated, in-line, synchronized shuttle lever on the left-hand side, leaving the right hand free for steering and implement control.

Power at the PTO
Standard T4000 Series equipment includes a fully-independent 540-rpm power take-off (PTO) with flip-up safety shield. A new, independent 540/1000 RPM shiftable PTO with interchangeable shafts is available on the T4040 and T4050 as an option to power bigger implements with a small, easy to maneuver tractor.
New electrical system
A new CANbus electrical system provides greater reliability and troubleshooting ease. Improvements include on-board diagnostics a heavier key switch, solid power shuttle engagement and new sealed contactless switches for seat and park brake.

An available new Analog Digital Instrument Cluster provides critical performance information and warning in a brighter display that’s clear and easy to understand.

Low profile cab with deluxe air filtration
With or without a cab, T4100 Series tractors have a lower overall height profile than most other utility tractors, so operators can work in low-clearance areas where other tractors can’t.

T4000 Series are available with an open platform and foldable ROPS, or with a deluxe cab. The low profile of the cab (93” height on the tallest tires) makes the tractor easy to maneuver, and allows operators to drive under 8’ doors, such as found in many older buildings, poultry houses, barns and nurseries.

The cab units also offer cleaner air and a cleaner work environment with New Holland’s exclusive deluxe air filtration system. This system, which is standard on T4000 Series tractors, features two extra-large, high-filtration, anti-pollen filters. These filters, coupled with a high-capacity cab pressurizer, keep dust and dirt out to allow the operator to work more comfortably and help control allergies and asthma suffering.
