Who's Who!
The Pennsylvania Dutch Convention & Visitors Bureau
will be hosting presentations by Author/Artist Ron Hevener in their newly renovated theatre Sunday, June 15th. Joining Mr. Hevener on Father’s Day will be Selket Louchiano, the horse who stars in the new documentary film based on Hevener's novel, "Fate of the Stallion." The author will talk about his film, "From The Pages Of A Novel" which made its worldwide debut last week on the Nicker Network.
Filmed in Lancaster County and the surrounding Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Hevener's story quickly gained popularity among animal lovers internationally. The film gives viewers a peek at the inside workings of the horse show world and introduces Selket Louchiano, who portrays the Arabian stallion, "Nahgua," in the story. Nahgua was considered by the news media to be one of Lancaster County's "Most celebrated residents."
Mr. Hevener and Louchiano are currently making live personal
appearances for the film around the country. After interviewing Hevener recently on Animal Talk Naturally Radio, host Dr. Kim Bloomer said, "The movie is reaching out and showing us the heart and passion of a man who truly loves - people, animals, life. From the thrilling yet haunting passion of the new song by Mr. Hevener, "Never Let Me Go," to the behind-the-scenes look at a day in the life of a passionate horseman, listeners will learn that the book "Fate of the Stallion" and the documentary, "From The Pages Of A Novel," are far more than another horse book or horse movie. Far more."
Showings for the film on June 15th at the Pennsylvania Dutch
Convention & Visitors Bureau Theatre will be at 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 PM. Visitors are invited to take pictures with the stallion and his trainers, Judi and Christi Scott, of WaterGap Stables in Christiana.
