Color Breed
The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) Trail and Distance Department is happy to announce the Appaloosa recipients of the 250- and 400-mile Registers of Merit (ROM) for 2008. The 250-mile ROM distinctions are awarded to ApHC-registered Appaloosas, five years or older, enrolled in the Distance Program that complete 250 miles in ApHC-approved endurance and/or competitive trail events. The 400-mile ROMs are awarded to Appaloosas that complete at least 400 miles in any of the four annual ApHC-sponsored trail rides.

The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) was established in 1938, with a mission of preserving, promoting and enhancing the Appaloosa breed. The ApHC has since registered more than 670,000 Appaloosas, which are known for their distinctive color, intelligence and even temperament.
