The 20th European Championship of American Quarter Horses at Kreuth (Germany) is scheduled for August 15-23, 2009. The 4 Aqha show plus Nations Cup is judged by six international judges: Joe Carter, Lyle Jackson, Sylvia Katschker, Ricky Bordignon, Clay Macleod and Robin Frid. The star: the American Quarter Horse
The major star of this huge event attracting about 400 horses from 18 nations each year, is the American Quarter Horse. In Kreuth, they prove their unique versatility and great mind in various disciplines – from halter to western pleasure, from reining to cutting and cowhorse. Nowhere in Europe, will you find such a huge number of top qualitiy Quarter Horses in so many different disciplines. The European Championship truly celebrates ‘America’s Horse’. There are two go rounds plus final for the European Champion titles, with the exception of the halter and catlle shows. Here, there will be only the go rounds, no finals.
4- AQHA Shows plus Nations Cup
The halter and cattle shows are scheduled for the first week-end (August 15 and 16, 2009). The go rounds in the other disciplines will follow from Monday till Thursday. On Friday, August 21, the finals will start. The EC ends on August 23. There will also be the second Nations Cup during the second week-end with teams of various European countries competing in several disciplines. The event will be open to any Quarter Horse fan or visitor – entry is free.
