T-K Ranch is hosting a clinic October 3rd and 4th, 2009 located in Waddell, AZ.

Home of Animal Krackers Equine Therapy and Animal Krackers Inc. Equine Rescue.

I first met Traci at a World Barrel Racing show in Waco, TX.

She was riding a most amazing bay mare. Traci stopped by our Animal Krackers Body Balancing Booth to have her horse evaluated.

She was so vibrant and easy to chat with, we became instant friends. I continued to hear her name from folks that had her fixing and tuning up horses and about her methods. So I watched her riding in the warm up, and continued to be amazed; I had to know more.

I can hardly wait to see more at the clinic this fall. She will be starting three for me.

Thank you, Kelli Heidt

Traci Pratt Bio:

I was born to two great horse enthusiasts, Truman (aka Buster) and Carla Hare, on January 2, 1975. I am from a small and humble town in south Texas called Rockport that is located on the coast about one half hour NE of Corpus Christi.

Horses have consumed me since the beginning of my days. My love for horses stemmed at a very early age as my mother and grandfather were both wonderful horse trainers. So, I suppose my fate was sealed long before I was even thought of! I don’t recall a single time in my life that I haven’t owned or been involved with horses in some way. My 30+ years in the industry has taught me that the horses have actually trained me more than I have them.
They have taught me the importance of communication through actions rather than words. Horses, like us, communicate with body language. And, through trial and error, I have learned to be more aware of a horses’ movement; to become more cognizant of their body language and likewise, my own. As a result, I have learned to communicate with horses on their level.

I began training BLM mustangs in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 14. They taught me so much, as they are so different from domesticated horses. I then moved on to training Western and English Pleasure horses and after a few year stent in that field, I moved on to reining and dressage. I even dabbled a little in cutting. I learned something from each and every discipline. In 2001 I began riding and training barrel horses. I would have to say that barrel racing is my favorite discipline; however, my experiences from the pleasure and reining fields are the foundation of my training program today. I continue to train for and compete in barrel racing events throughout the United States. In 2008 I began conducting clinics across North America titled: “Ultimate Body Control & Barrel Racing with Traci Pratt.” I began the clinics in hopes of inspiring, teaching and allowing others to learn how to control their horse under most any circumstance, whether loping down the western pleasure rail or racing around a barrel at top speed. My clinics are Christian based and family oriented where I provide testimony and ministry while sharing my experiences and knowledge of horses to all who are willing to listen. Horses have always been and I believe, always will be a part of my life. They are not a hobby to me, or simply an income, they are my passion.

An excerpt from Traci’s website: www.RidingWithFaith.com

A little about us. We are a small Christian based operation. Trey and I were married on June 28, 2008. Trey was a gift for me and my family. I believe that God brought Trey into my life for many reasons. Trey and I celebrated our first anniversary recently and what a beautiful first year it has been!

We have two children. Byron who is 16 and Megan, now 10. Whew! Time sure does fly! Anyway, not only was Trey an amazing blessing for me, but also has been even more of a blessing to my children.

We live in Axtell, TX (a small town just NE of Waco) on fifty acres. We have seven horses of our own and we ride for pleasure as well as competition. We have been so blessed with what God has provided us and we thank Him numerous times throughout the day for His gifts, grace and mercy.

About my Purpose

I believe we all have a purpose. I also believe that that purpose is universal. I bet I know what you are thinking, “What?!? How can we all have the same purpose?” Well, I believe exactly that! I believe that we all have a universal purpose and that purpose is to spread the good news. Testimony itself is our UNIVERSAL purpose. I think most of us go through a period in our lives where we question our purpose. I know that I did. And, through study and prayer I found my purpose. My purpose in this life is to provide Testimony and Ministry about the word of God and what He has done for me and my family. What a glorious blessing to have truly opened our hearts to Jesus! The peace, joy and love that accompany faith in Christ are unmatched.

I think you will be shocked when I reveal the gift that I believe I have been given. You probably think that I am going to say that I have a gift or talent with horses, right? Well, although I love them, I do not believe that I have a special talent or gift with horses. I do feel however, that horses are a vessel/portal that allows me to reach others with my gift. I actually believe that my gift is a big mouth! That’s right! I said, “A BIG MOUTH!” I suppose the politically correct way to say that would be to say that I have been blessed with the gift of speaking. Ha-Ha! I love to talk! And, even better, I love to talk about God! Therefore, I utilize my passion for horses as a portal to put my BIG MOUTH to work! What is your gift? Are you utilizing YOUR GIFT to serve god?

Now about what I do

I love horses! I love training horses. I love feeding horses, caring for them, raising them and more than anything, I love to teach others about them! I have trained horses for the public for more than 15 years. They have always been and I believe, always will be a part of my life. Horses are not a hobby to me, or simply an income, they are my passion. There’s more! I also love Ministry! So, I have combined the two and here we are! I train horses, give lessons and I also hold clinics throughout the United States. I have implemented Ministry into my clinics. If a clinic day falls on a Sunday, rest assured that you will not miss church service. I, like you, have many goals. However, my ultimate goal in this life is to provide testimony and ministry while sharing my experiences and knowledge of horses to all who are willing to listen.
Remember that YOU can reach others through that which God has given you. Be it horses or another passion, gift or talent!
