Draper Equine Therapy, makers of therapeutic horse and rider products, will debut their new Equine Therapy Hock Boots to retailers at the American Equestrian Trade Association’s (AETA) International Trade Fair. The trade show will be held January 30 through February 1 at the Greater Philadelphia Convention Center in Oaks, Pennsylvania.
Draper’s Equine Therapy Hock Boots are durable, wash and wear hock boots that fit numerous sized horses and a wide array of conformations. “For several years we have had customers asking us to develop a hock boot. At AETA we will be introducing the hock boots to retailers and we encourage anyone attending the show to visit us at booth 518,” said Kat Wojtylak, Product Manager at Draper Therapies. “One of the great things about our hock boot is that for horses who have had surgery or injuries to the area, it fits well after the area becomes inflamed, but also will fit once the edema has lessened.”
Like other Draper products, the Equine Therapy Hock Boots are made with an innovative smart fiber textile called Celliant™/Holofiber® that has been clinically proven to help reduce pain, increase oxygen levels and help balance overall body temperature. “The hock boots bring the same wonderful properties of all the Draper products to an area which is normally under a great deal of stress and strain, especially for sport horses who have the additional emphasis on those joints,” Wojtylak said. “The hock boots not only promote circulation to the area, but helps add a layer of protection as well. Increased circulation has been known to help heal faster, alleviate pain and bring more blood flow to the area which can additionally help bring medications and supplements more readily to the body.”
The hock boots are sold in pairs and the retail value is $80.00. “The fact that these boots can be thrown in the washer and dryer make them very low maintenance and means they last longer and look great,” Wojtylak said.
In addition to hock boots, Draper Equine Therapy produces saddle pads, indoor and outdoor blankets, bandages and wraps. Products for riders include T-shirts, socks, blankets, joint support sleeves/wraps, and back belts. In addition, they offer a line of home therapy and spa products including sleep liners, eye pillows, shoulder wraps and blankets.
