National
LaMesa, NM Ranch Horse competitors, I wanted to drop you a couple reminders as we get closer to our event. As part of the check in at the event we will be asking for your current coggins paperwork. Most of us are still shoveling snow but dig out your ponies and get their test completed if you haven’t already.
We are really excited to see each of you and welcome the newcomers to our 2010 competition year. If you want your points to count toward the year end you must submit your NVRHA membership. We can discuss this more on Friday morning of the Clinic. Also, I have asked the Horsemans club from NMSU to come out and help support us. They are planning to do some grilling at lunch each day to help feed us. I encourage you to support their club and help them raise some club funds while filling your bellies. They are not getting paid to be there.
I’m working on some signs to direct you to Josh’s from I-10 but if you want to mapquest it, his address is:

We all want to work cattle..…a lot! However, we ask that you stay in your assigned group as much as possible to give everyone their chance on cows.
Please feel free to give me a call if you have any questions, and please forward this email to others not included in this email. I will send out more updates as the event gets closer. If you know someone who has mentioned they may attend but have not sent in their registration ask them to call Charles or myself. We need to get a refined scope of the competitors for cattle. Thanks, Brian

Ranch horse enthusiasts, I want to invite you to the first event in 2010 for the New Mexico affiliate National Versatility Ranch Horse Association clinic and competition. You are invited to participate and learn, as a beginner novice, intermediate, advanced or open class. Our two day ranch horse clinic is followed by a competition on the third day.
Feel free to look at the attached flyer to select all three days, just the clinic, just the competition or a combination. This is a great learning environment for you and your horse.
Buckles will be awarded to the point leader in Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. If you chose to join the NVRHA, your points will be counted toward year end New Mexico Affiliate awards as well as the National NVRHA awards.
During the clinic, clinicians will work with you both individually as well as in group learning exercises. This is truly a great opportunity for you and your horse to learn in a safe environment.
We are excited to have the priviledge to utilize the Josh Armstrong training facility in LaMesa (Just a few miles South of Las Cruces). The dates for the event are 26, 27 & 28 february. This event is the first in 2010 for the New Mexico affiliate to host. Please go to www.NVRHA.org for more details and additional calendar of events. Look for additional clinics and competitions to be held here in New mexico.
In addition to the event flyer, I've included the registration form to be submitted in advance. Your advance reservation will insure your opportunity to participate. We look forward to seeing you in the saddle!
