Luv Shack Ranch Horse Rescue 501(c)3
2nd Annual Trainers’ Challenge
Saturday - April 3, 2010 @ 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Pioneer Arena / I-17 and west on Pioneer Road
Admission $5.00 Donation
The Luv Shack Ranch Trainers’ Challenge is modeled after the Extreme Mustang Makeover and it promises to be a crowd pleaser. Nine trainers have been given a rescued horse for 90 days. The trainer will showcase what his/her horse has accomplished before a panel of judges - a horse that came to him/her untrained or with undesirable issues.
But wait…there’s more! Not only are these trainers going to demonstrate how they have turned their horse into a willing companion, their dedication comes with recognition and a prize – a prize of $3,000 to be exact! Runner-up will claim a purse of $1,000. And, finally there will be five class awards to the tune of $200 each. As always, these prizes come complete with the appropriate bragging rights!!
Oh, but wait…there’s still more. After the dust settles and the applause dies down, we’re going to have ourselves a silent horse auction to give everyone a chance to talk to the trainers, meet the horses, and make sure they see the horse they want. We’ll have 9 horses fresh off training, ready to go home with the highest bidder with the approved adoption paperwork* in hand.
Come enjoy some great food and entertainment, all for a worthy cause. The Cowgirls Historical Foundation Drill Team will be presenting the flag. The National Anthem will be sung by Wynett Wilson and J.W. Brooks. The panel of judges includes Wylene Wilson, two-time winner of the Extreme Mustang Makeover.
Please plan on joining us at the Pioneer Arena (I-17 and west on Pioneer Road) to cheer on your favorite horse or trainer. *For more details on this event you can visit our website: www.luvshackranch.org.
