Mills beats Martin, Munger, Keeler, Slaton and Brewer
Buz Mills, Yavapai County businessman and gubernatorial candidate shared his common sense conservative message with Yavapai Republicans at their annual Lincoln Day dinner. The voters in the straw ballot responded by making him the top vote recipient.
Mills track record of creating 1000’s of jobs over the past 35 years and common sense approach to reducing the size of government separated him from the other candidates. Over 150 area Republicans and local, state and federal candidates attended the annual event. Four other Gubernatorial candidates; Dean Martin, John Munger, Hugh Keehler and Steven Slaton, joined Mills at the event. Governor Jan Brewer was not in attendance and was the lowest vote getter of the evening. The candidates were asked to provide a four-minute speech and then asked a series of questions on issues ranging from the states budget crisis to immigration policy.
