Polo
Marc and Melissa Ganzi, Players and Patrons of Team Audi Polo, will be providing polo ponies and their polo facilities at Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, FL, for the 1st Annual International Gay Polo Tournament. The tournament will be taking place on April 3, 2010, from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
Mellissa and Marc Ganzi have been playing polo for many years. Marc and his family purchased Melissa a polo pony years ago, and from that point forward they have been playing polo together all over the world. The Ganzis own a home directly behind the Grand Champions Polo Club, which makes it easy to commute to matches, practice, and enjoy the polo atmosphere. With over 150 ponies, the Ganzis are the perfect people to provide ponies for this event.
The tournament will be comprised of twelve Gay Polo League (GPL) players, and four world-class professional players. Each player will use four horses, one per every seven-and-a-half-minute period throughout the game.
Melissa commented, "We are very excited for this event and are so happy that the riders can use our ponies for this unique tournament on our field. The tournament will definitely be a first class event for everyone."
With less than a month to the tournament, sponsors are being secured, tickets are selling, and the players are planning their itinerary.
