Eight days after the first deadline for entries, we’ve got the first numbers and names of competitors of the $ 100.000 added Austrian Reining Futurity & Derby. So far, there are more than 100 entries, among them top riders from all over Europe. In the Open, there are e.g. NRHA European Futurity Champion 2009 Bernard Fonck (BEL), NRHA Breeders Derby Champion Morey Fisk (CAN), triple NRHA World Champion and FEI World Reining Masters Champion Rudi Kronsteiner (AUT), NRHA Breeders Futurity Champion and FEI World Championship Bronze medal winner Sylvia Rzepka, Markus Schöpfer (ITA), Vern Sapergia (CAN), Michael Saupe, Dennis Schulz (AUT) and Markus Morawitz (AUT), who won the Austrian Futurity twice already.In the Non Pro, there are Daniel Arnold (one of Germany’s most successful Non Pro reiners), Babs Coppens (NED), Markus Dünser (AUT), Sandra Friesbiller (AUT) and Allessandro Pellerano (ITA). Many of them come with several horses. More information will follow.
Austria’s reining highlight 2010 is scheduled for September 1 to 4, 2010 at the beautiful facility of Helmut and Dennis Schulz in Wiener Neustadt. Besides the Futurity and Derby classes, there is a full slate NRHA show including a $ 10 000 NRHA Lawson Bronze Trophy Open and a $ 5000 Non Pro Trophy. The Austrian Futurity & Derby is open to all horses. There are three levels in the 3-year-old Futurity with a purse of $ 25,.000 added in the Open (Level 4) alone. In the Non Pro, there are two levels. The same applies to the 4-year-old Derby where the Open Level $ offers the biggest purse: $ 12.000 added. All shows are NRHA approved.
