Cutting
For the first time after six years, 2010 Americana will offer a Cutting Team Cup! This special event was made possible due to the generous sponsoring of Jimmy Jack Biffle and Loyd Trubenbach. The Cutting Team Cup is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, September 12, following the rules the the 2004 edition:
Each country may nominate 2 or 3 riders. It is the nationality of the rider that counts, not of the horse owner!
Only 2 of the riders may be Open competitors.
The best two scores of each team will count, the third (lowest) will be scratched.
Entry fee per nation is €420 (plus cattle charge per competitor).
Thanks to the support of Jimmy Jack Biffle and Loyd Trubenbach a purse of €5,500 added moey is paid plus 100 per cent pay back of the entry fees. With e.g. six nations competing, this means a total purse of €5,500 + (6 Teams x €420) = €8,020! Up to 5 competing teams, the winner will get 60 per cent of the piurse, the Reserve Champion 40 per cent. With six terams and more, the winner receives 50 per cent, the second placed team 30 per cent and the third placed 20 per cent.
