The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Center in Ocala is such a firm believer in award-winning Combined Driver Chester Weber that they have doubled their sponsorship of Team Weber. A state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the healing, conditioning and well being of all equine athletes, The Sanctuary has partnered with Weber and his winning team for over a year.
“When we started our partnership with Chester we knew Team Weber and The Sanctuary would make a fantastic team,” said Tom Grabe, The Sanctuary’s Managing Partner. “We have been able to help Chester maintain his horses throughout the year as they have gone undefeated, and we look forward to being part of Chester’s World Equestrian Games team.”
Weber said he is pleased with the added support from The Sanctuary and that his horses regularly use the Cold Saltwater Leg Spa and the Aqua Pacer, as well as the Magnawave and Laser Therapy at the multi-million dollar facility. “We will continue to use The Sanctuary to insure that our horses are at their peak fitness at WEG,” Weber said. “The staff at The Sanctuary are clearly experts at the rehabilitation it takes to keep top equine athletes at their best, by using the latest and greatest therapy technology and methods available.”
In early 2010, Weber clinched his eighth straight USEF National Four-In-Hand Combined Driving Championship, and went undefeated throughout the year at several other Combined Driving Competitions. “We use The Sanctuary’s Magnawave Therapy for post competition soreness to help our athletes recover from their rigorous competitions,” Weber said, adding that he believes that a well-managed sponsorship can aid all parties involved. “The partnership between The Sanctuary and Team Weber is evidence of a win-win relationship.”
In addition to being the United State’s top Four-In-Hand Combined Driver, Weber is also involved with Thoroughbred racehorses and jumpers. “The equine knowledge and expertise Chester offers is something we don’t often get from horsemen in this industry,” Grabe said. “We are proud to not only continue our sponsorship of Chester and Team Weber, but to increase it. Chester is a true horseman as well as a champion.”
Located on 30 acres in Ocala, The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Center offers the latest in technological equipment designed to promote safe and rapid advancement for horses recovering from injury or in need of training. The Sanctuary features an Equine Hyperbaric Chamber with box stall type freedom of movement while therapy is administered, as well as an Aqua Pacer Water Treadmill, the safest, most effective water treadmill available. The center also features: a Cold Saltwater Leg Spa featuring 34 degree, highly salinated water for all types of leg therapy; an Equine Swimming Pool – a 110 foot long, 14 foot deep inline pool with therapeutic water; a 5/8 mile race track; two Eurocisers with therapeutic tracking surface - one under cover and one outdoors; Solariums; Temperature-controlled veterinary inspection area with semi-surgical lighting, and rubberized surfaces in most areas.
