Considered one of the top polo players in the United States, Arellano was born in Nicaragua and moved with his family to Wellington, Florida, when he was seven years old so his father could play polo.

Julio typically plays the number three position, which is usually held by the best player on the team. Julio has a long list of accomplishments including winning the North American Polo League’s scoring title with 115 goals in 2008 and was named MVP of the US Open in 2005. His team has also won the Gold Cup, the US Open and the 20-goal Joe Barry Memorial Cup."
