Arcadia, CA, HRTV (R) has received twelve 2011 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award nominations from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences of the Ohio Valley.
The 47th Annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards encompass Kentucky, and the Awards ceremony is slated for Saturday, July 30 at the Seelbach Hilton in Louisville, KY.
HRTV's award-winning monthly documentary show, "Inside Information," received 10 nominations in six different categories, including the only three nominations in the "Sports - One-Time Special" designation. The "Inside Information" shows featured documentaries on two great horses, Well Armed and Swale, as well as the well-known Equestrian endurance race, the Tevis Cup.
The acclaimed show also received the only two nominations in the Writer - Program category for editions involving Hall of Fame jockey Randy Romero, and the aforementioned Swale.
It also received two separate nominations in the "Nostalgia Program" category for "31 Lengths: The Lives of Secretariat" with sole shows highlighting "Big Red's" charismatic owner, Penny Chenery, and jockey, Ron Turcotte. (Below is a complete listing of nominations.)

In 2009, HRTV was honored with a 2008 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award in the "Sports - One-Time Special" category for its "Inside Information: Dubai World Cup" show.
