Simon Garber, founder of the International Polo Club of Colts Neck, announces that on Sunday, July 31st and August 21st international polo star Nacho Figueras will play in the Kings Polo Classic tournament at the International Polo Club of Colts Neck in Bucks Mill Park, Colts Neck, NJ, only 45 minutes from New York City. The July 31st match is the Second Annual Yellow Cab Cup and will benefit Operation Smile. On August, 21st, Work to Ride is the selected charity choice for the Gotham-Philadephia Style Magazine Cup. The event Title Sponsor is Yellow Cab SLS Jet Management Corp. and the event sponsor is Land Rover Manhattan.
Nacho Figueras, often called the “David Beckham of polo,” is ranked among the top players in the world. He will compete on the same team with Simon Garber, also an internationally ranked player, and his sons Shaun, Jeffrey and Tyler.
Operation Smile, which is partnered with the Yellow Cab Cub on July 31st, is an international children’s medical charity dedicated to helping improve the health and lives of children and young adults.
The August 21st match beneficiary is Work to Ride, a charity that provides disadvantaged urban youth from Philadelphia with constructive activities centered around horsemanship, equine sports, and education. Ticket proceeds from each match will go to the designated charity.
Additional entertainment will be provided by DJ Daniel braver whose late night parties in Manhattan and the Hamptons draw crowds. Jersey’s own Sweet Jane Lynn served their delicious and unique desserts and there was a tailgate contest with prizes for Best Tailgate and Best Dressed Tailgate Attendees.
