NCHA member Dave Husby, 65, passed away suddenly on February 10.

A native of Canada, Husby and his wife, Georgia, lived in Weatherford, Texas. Husby joined NCHA in 1997. He was a successful rider, owner and breeder of cutting horses.

The Husbys owned Flickacat, the High Brow Cat son that Chubby Turner rode to win the NCHA World Championship. They also owned Hydrive Cat when that stallion was reserve champion of the 2006 NCHA Futurity with Clint Allen riding.

Dave was a frequent finalist in NCHA Non-Pro events including the Super Stakes (pictured with PG Maxine).

Services will be held February 18 in Kelowna, British Columbia.
