Team Bios:
Katharina Hagesveen
Katharina is an 18-year old girl, from Lommedalen, Oslo. Katharina was raised on a ranch and started to ride horses at a very young age. She began her horse riding career with dressage and show jumping. At the age of 12 she was introduced to the American Quarter Horse. Over the next few years Katharina showed in all of the all around events. During the last few years reining, horsemanship and western riding has been her favorite events. Katharina was a part of Team Norway at the European Youth Cup 2011.
Sara Skybak
Sara is a 17-year old girl from Flisa, Solør. She has grown up with horses, and got her first quarter horse at an age of 11. Sara has shown horses for the past four years, and has a lot of fun with it. She had the privilege of being part of Team Norway under the European Youth Cup 2011, and competed in western pleasure and trail. She has received two youth runner up’s, and she also received an award for high-point youth, western pleasure. Sara enjoys western pleasure, trail, hunter under saddle, hunt seat equitation, horsemanship and showmanship.
Gina Victoria Lia Ulveie
Gina is a 15 year old girl, living close to Oslo, the capital of Norway. She started riding about three years ago, and have now owned her all-around showhorse for 2,5 years. She also recently bought
the 2 year all-around prospect. Gina's loves all of the all-around classes, but showmanship, horsemanship and hunt-seat is definitely her favorites. In 2011 she won the title
«Norwegian Rookie of the Year». Gina is really looking forward to Youth World Cup. Not only for getting the chance to compete at such a high level, but also for the journey itself, meeting other people and the countless of big and small experiences she will probably get. Gina really learned a lot when she competed at the European Youth Cup 2011, and is so happy she got the chance to represent team Norway this time too.
Anniken Ruud
Anniken just turned 16 years old and lives close to Kongsvinger, Norway. She started her riding career when she was 10 years old. She started to “hangout” on a ranch not far away from where she lives, and after a little while she was riding all the horses at the ranch, and started to show in 2009. She was an alternate for the Team at the European Youth Cup 2011 in Belgium. Anniken is really looking forward to the Youth World Cup. Her favorite disciplines are Showmanship, Horsemanship, Hunter Under Saddle and Hunt Seat Equitation.
Miriam Sandvik Kristensen
Miriam just turned 15 years old and has been raised on a small ranch in Austmarka,
Norway. Miriam began exhibiting horses when she turned 8. At the age of 9,
she won showmanship at halter and trail in hand with a Quarter mare in an
AQHA show in Norway. Over the next few years, Miriam expanded her events to
include trail, horsemanship, hunter under saddle, hunt seat equitation and
western pleasure. Miriam became the international rookie of the year in
Norway in 2010, and won the silver medal in hunter under saddle on her
Quarter gelding. Nationaly she has many good results in different
horseshows through the last five years. This is her first Youth World Cup.

Synne Ordemann
Synne is a 17-year old girl from Bergen in Norway. Synne started riding at the age of 13, and has owned her quarter horse since. She has showed her horse for two years, and became the Norwegian cup champion in youth pleasure, in 2011. Her favourite events are showmanship, trail and reining, but she loves to learn and improve her skills in every event.
Marie Kamp
Marie is a 16-year old girl from Bergen in Norway. She started her riding career when she was around 5, and started to do some jumping competitions. When she was 14, she fell in love with western, and have never thought about going back to english since then. She enjoys all of the allround events, but showmanship and horsemanship is her favorites.
Ingrid Solheim
Ingrid is a 14-year old girl from Bergen in Norway. She started riding when she was 11, and loved it from the very first moment. She has been competing a cold blood horse for 1 year and is now training and showing a quarter horse with a friend. Ingrid loves horse showing and are going to compete a lot in the future. Her favorite events are western pleasure, horsemanship and showmanship
