Cutting was the first competition of the 2012 AQHA Youth World Cup in Kreuth / Germany, and it was judged by Hans Kuhn (GER) and Jan Boogaerts (BEL). The show was won by Haley Stradling (CAN) who showed a brilliant run aboard Wild At Dawn. 15-year-old Haley is from Aldgergrove, British Columbia. She was 2010 BCRCHA Junior Youth Champion and AQHA Regional Cutting Junior Youth Champion as well as 2011 BCQHA Youth Year End Champion. Wild At Dawn is an 8-year-old American Quarter Horse mare by Wild Thing Dna out of Dulce Quixote and is owhned by Weglöhner and Wüst. The mare is an NCHA Money Earner and was Bavarian Champion Open. “This is an amazing horse, ” Haley said afterwards. “I’m so happy about this success!“

Dor Yoets from Israel and Borregos Sure Shot placed second with judge Hans Kuhn, Fabienne Krämer (GER) and Roosters Dream with judge Jan Boogaerts.

18-jyear-old Dor was 2011 FEQHA European Championship finalist Hunt Seat Equitation. With Borregos Sure Shot (Docs Borrego x Duces Sure Shot, owner Dr. Susanne Roth) he rode a multiple World Show Qualifier and multiple FEQHA European Reserve Champion.

18-year-old Fabienne was FN German Reining Champion in 2011 and 2012, NRHA Bronze Trophy Non Pro Champion and claimed two gold medals in reining during the 2010 AQHA Youth World Cup. Roosters Dream is owned by Gerold Dautzenberg, who was FEQHA European Champion Cutting Amateur with this mare.

Melina Hugelshofer (SUI and Duals Sting Rey (Dual Rey x Olena Flo, owner Lars Christiansen) placed third with Hans Kuhn, while Jan Boogaerts saw Dido Masi (Italy) and Magtar (owner Erwin Pauli) on third place. 17-year-old Melina is a multiple FEQHA European Champion in various disciplines, 18-year-old Dido was 2011 FEI European Reining Champion Junior Division – both team and individual.
