The Board of Directors of the Miniature Horse Association of Arizona met on June 11, 2012, to discuss plans for the 26th Annual Arizona Touch of Class Miniature Horse Show in 2013 besides other business and club events.
During the summer months of June, July and August, there are no General meetings due to vacation schedules. For a summer activity, open to all miniature horse owners and enthusiasts, the club will be sponsoring a Miniature Horse Photo Contest. The theme of the contest is “The Uniqueness of the Miniature Horse”, portraying what makes the Miniature Horse so unique as compared to other horses. This contest is open to the layman photographer and no professional photos will be accepted. There is NO ENTRY FEE and a cash prize will be awarded to the winner. The winning photo will be displayed on the club’s website: www.AZminis-MHAA.com. The deadline for the contest is August 31, 2012. Interested contestants may call 602-577-7618 for entry forms.
From new digital snapshots to shoebox treasures, the club is looking forward to receiving some very interesting photo subjects to be shared with the media. The Miniature Horse is a horse that brings much pleasure to its owners and hopefully this joy will be captured in the many photographs received.
The next MHAA general meeting and event is scheduled for September 8, Saturday, 2012, at 10:00 am with an instructional hands-on clinic about Harnessing Your Mini Horse for Show and for Driving. Guests are always welcome. For more information about membership and events, go to the website: www.AZminis-MHAA.com.
