You Can Ride Down the Center Line at the 35th Anniversary of Dressage at Devon
Dressage riders! 2010 is the year to make dreams come true at Dressage at Devon. To celebrate the show's 35th Anniversary, the qualifying criteria for the 2010 show have been changed. Minimum qualifying scores have been eliminated giving more riders the opportunity to experience this historic event. Instead, submit your highest scores for the class level entered. These scores will be ranked on closing day to fill the class. This is your chance to ride down centerline and join the ranks of the most celebrated dressage competitors in American history. Those participating as spectators will find the 35th Anniversary show the most exciting in the event's storied history. More surprises will be unveiled throughout the coming year.

FREEDOM FARM'S JULY 15TH DRESSAGE SHOW IS THE ONLY RECOGNIZED SHOW IN NJ TO AWARD CASH PRIZES
Freedom Farm will host New Jersey’s only ESDCTA recognized dressage show that will award cash prizes in every category, on Wednesday, July 15th. This will be the 3rd year that Freedom Farm will open its doors to dressage enthusiasts from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. 50% of the entry fee money will go towards cash prizes through 3rd place in each class except golden oldies where there will be non-cash prizes and ribbons, through 6th.place. Competitors will ride two tests and the competitor’s scores will be averaged to determine the winners.

US Festival of Champions, Exquis World Dressage Masters, Aachen on Coverage Calendar for www.dressage-news.com
The Internet web site, www.dressage-news.com is maintaining its coverage of the world's premier dressage events with the Exquis World Dressage Masters at Cannes, the U.S. Festival of Champions at Gladstone, New Jersey, and the World Equestrian Festival CHIO Aachen, Germany on the calendar for June.
Since launching less than two months ago, dressage-news has provided on-the-spot coverage of the FEI World Cup in Las Vegas, the Exquis World Dressage Masters in Munich, Germany and the Raleigh CDI World Cup in North Carolina. Rocher Retires from International Competition

Gypsy Woods Farm owners Charles (Chuck) and Joann Smith announce that the beloved, crowd-pleasing Westfalen mare, Rocher (Rolls Royce), will retire from International competition.
“Rocher took a dream and made it a reality,” states Chuck “she took us all over the world and filled us with pride. She has incredible character and inspired her fans wherever she showed.”
Rocher came to the United States in 2000 to be ridden by George Williams for the Smith family and Gypsy Woods Farm. Her career was highlighted with a 5th place finish in the 2003 World Cup Freestyle championships in Goteborg, Sweden. In the same year she was named U.S. Dressage Federation Grand Prix Horse and Grand Prix Freestyle Horse of the Year as well as Chronicle of the Horse Dressage Horse of the Year.

Denmark's Lars Petersen played his crowd-wowing cartoon medley to Success to capture his second straight major Grand Prix Freestyle with a convincing win at the Holiday & Horses CDI 3* at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center Saturday night.
The score of 73.90 per cent with four of the five judges awarding first place for the longtime partnership that began in Europe and flowered in America edged out 2006 World Cup Finalist Arlene "Tuny" Page and Wild One of the USA who placed second with 70.00 per cent and the USA's Tara Stegen and New Tango finished third on 67.55 per cent.

Elizabeth Niemi, a well established FEI dressage competitor and trainer of Niemi Dressage, rode with Klaus Balkenhol, Chef d’Equipe for the United States Dressage Team, in the 2008 International Dressage Symposium, at Maplewood Warmbloods Farm on October 18 and 19th. This is a two-day United States Dressage Federation (USDF) University accredited symposium headlined with three of the world’s dressage masters.

Iron Spring Farm's Pilgrim ISF Selected for Stallion Testing

Iron Spring Farm's three-year-old homebred Friesian stallion, Pilgrim ISF, was awarded the prestigious First Premie Star designation and was selected for KFPS stallion testing during the FHANA KFPS keuring September 29, 2008. Iron Spring Farm's success during the keuring also includes Pilgrim's dam, Toltsje fan't Boekehof, receiving an 82.5 on her IBOP (performance) test to earn the prestigious Model designation. She also received the Champion Mare award.

Dawn Bernardo Makes Her Mark at Great American Insurance Group USDF Region 8 Dressage Championships

Dressage trainer and instructor, Elizabeth Niemi, returned home from the GAIG/USDF Region 8 Dressage Championships with a new star in her stable. Niemi’s student, Dawn Bernardo, went Reserve Champion in the adult amateur Third Level Championship Class on Sunday afternoon, posting a score of 66.279%. After a very rainy start to the show, the sun came out for Bernardo and her horse, Welthyn, as they stepped into the ring first.

USDF Goes Green
The United States Dressage Federation announced today the start of its “Going Green” Campaign. The campaign was developed to manage costs in a tough economy and support worldwide environmental efforts while continuing to provide the best in member benefits and services.
The first major step in the effort was the launch of the USDF Web site last fall which has allowed USDF to provide extensive information and services to its members online, reducing paper usage, shipping costs, and staff processing time.
