Arizona Desert Riders – Wickenburg Ride Memories

Alas, another one of our Wickenburg Rides has come and gone. We had a fantastic three days. The weather was perfect and the scenery was breathtaking. The trails we took were wonderful and so was the company of all the riders. We enjoyed hours of relaxing trail riding by day and blazing campfires by night. To accompany the campfires, we enjoyed cowboy singing, cowboy poetry, and great cowboy food. For those of you who weren’t with us on this ride I hope you will put it on your calendar for next year because a good time was had by all!
However, all good rides take lots of preparation to make them successful. This ride was no exception. So as we are remembering the good times let’s thank all of those who worked so hard to make this ride possible. We had great trails to ride (all of which had been scouted out ahead of time). We had great campfires (which required wood), all the fun evening activities (bingo, of course, requires prizes) and food at all the right times (those poor cooks were up very early to get our breakfast ready – better them than us!). The luxuries of horse camping that were at the camp were great as well (water for the horses and port-a-potties for their humans). To all of you who helped make this ride the success that it was for all the riders, we take our hats off to you and say “Thank-you so much”!
We will have lot more fun in the future – so be sure to check our website www.azdesertriders.com for new ride info.
