The Aiken Polo Festival Announces Sidelines magazine as a sponsor of the 2007 season. In publication since 1988, Sidelines is devoted to the people and personalities that make the horse world exciting. Sidelines is nestled firmly in the heart of the horse world. The relationship with the Aiken Polo Festival is a natural fit with a recent relocation of three news staff writers to Aiken to assist with the increase in equestrian related events in Aiken.

Regular departments and features in Sidelines include: Gossip from the show grounds and polo fields, rider/trainer/player profiles and interviews, horse show/event briefs, and contributions from regular columnists. No other publication is in the middle of the action like Sidelines, and with a highly targeted readership of 1,300,000, no other publication can reach the affluent demographics Sidelines serves. A specialty magazine as well as a spectator- friendly one, Sidelines is where interested horse people turn to find out what’s
happening and who’s making it happen.

Samantha Charles with Sidelines stated, “We are thrilled to be partnering with the Aiken Polo Festival to bring real-time information on polo and equestrian events in the Aiken area. Sometimes it is a challenge to keep up with field changes and the games times…it will be great to have all of that information in one central location.” The Aiken Polo Festival website www.aikenpolofestival.com will provide information for visitors coming to Aiken, tournament details, new articles, match results, real estate maps and an event calendar.

Tickets for many of the fall events will be available on the website including the finals of the Aiken Ladies Invitational (a benefit for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the finals of the USPA Silver Cup and the Polo Training Foundation Wild Game Dinner. Tickets will be on sale beginning the week of August 13, 2007.

The Aiken Polo Festival is sponsored by:
The Aiken Complex, Atlantic Broadband, Cable Vantage, Hotel Aiken, Nandina Home and Design and Via Mizner.
