Exhibitors will soon arrive in Dallas to showcase their hard work and dedication for 2007. State Fair of Texas officials expect more than 8,000 exhibitors to attend this year’s event, which will mark the 121 st anniversary. The fair will run September 28 through October 21 at Fair Park.

Livestock competitions will kick off at 9:00 am on September 28 with Pan-American goats. This year’s events will showcase animals, projects, youth leadership and educational aspects throughout the month. Entries from both the Youth and Pan-American shows will combine to make the State Fair of Texas livestock show one of the most recognized events of its kind.

The Youth Livestock Auction, scheduled for 10 am on October 6, is a premier event at the fair. A new record was set in 2006 of more than $1 million and we look to surpass it in 2007. Contributors from local businesses crowd the sale arena to support Texas youth while spectators from near and far gather to see the action.

Fair Park will soon be filled with sounds of animals and the joyful voices of exhibitors throughout the barns. Dallas will be hosting a national show along with 2 regional events at this year’s fair.

Admission at the gate will be $14 for adults and $10 for senior citizens and children under 48”. Additional information and full event schedule is available on the State Fair Livestock Website at www.bigtex.com.

The annual State Fair of Texas Livestock Show will be held at Fair Park, Dallas, TX. During the fair’s run, the facility’s 277-acre complex will be filled with spectators, exhibitors, volunteers and officials who all gather to make the State Fair of Texas successful for all.
