Exhibitors at this year’s St. Louis National Charity Horse Show will have more to celebrate with two new Grand National classes. The American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) has just announced it will give the St. Louis show $6,000 in additional Grand National money because the show is an ASHA Regional Championship Show for Region 5.
The two classes that will now be recognized as Grand National are the Three-Gaited Grand Championship ($3000) and the Five-Gaited Pleasure Championship ($3000). They join the Hunter Country Pleasure Championship ($1800) to round out the show’s three Grand National classes.
To qualify for the Grand National prize money, class winners must be registered with the American Saddlebred Registry Grand National (ASRGN).
Dates for Saddlebred Week of the 2007 Saint Louis National Charity Horse Show are September 26-29, 2007. The show is once again the ASHA Regional Championship Show for Region 5. Regional Championships will be awarded in designated classes to the highest placed horse that is stabled in and owned by a resident of Missouri, Illinois, Kansas or Colorado.
To request a prize list or enter the show, please call 636-938-4499, e-mail stlnatlcharityhs@aol.com or visit www.stlhorseshow.com. Entries are due September 5, 2007.
