Howdy!

I am Kayla Canfield and I am your Chandler Vaqueros Saddle Club Queen for 2007-2008. I am so thankful for everyone who voted for me. It is an honor and a privilege to be your Queen.

Our end of the year banquet in August at Rawhide was a huge success. There were 58 people who qualified for year end prizes. Everyone enjoyed themselves during the dinner, raffle, nomination of the Queen and Attendant, and all the fun attractions at Rawhide.

Our new year began September 15th, 2007 and will end in June of 2008. Our gymkhanas are held at the Gilbert Rodeo Grounds, on the South East corner of Val Vista Drive and Ray Road.

Our scheduled Gymkhanas for the fall season are on October 6th, October 20th, November 3rd and
December 1st.

On October 6th the events will be Cloverleaf Barrels, Feed Walk, Washington Poles, Mountain Cowhorse, and Open End Figure Eight. October 6th will be our last night gymkhana until next spring. Sign ups are at 5:00 pm and we run at 6:00 pm.

The October 20th gymkhana events are Pole Bending, Feed Walk, Cloverleaf Barrels, Double Bowtie, and Keyhole.
Sign ups are at 9:00 am and we start at 10:00 am.

Something new this year is points for barrels. If you are a member of the American Paint Horse Association, you can now get points for your barrel run at our CVSC events. Just check the appropriate box on your registration entry form.

We will need volunteers in the cook shack, at the exit gates, and setting up the barrels and poles. There will be sign up sheets at the registration table. We could not have such a successful year without all of the help from our friends and families. We appreciate all that you can do.

Until next month, ride safe, and I hope to see you all at the next CVSC Gymkhana!
