Hey Readers!
I have ONE question for you: Are you ready to RODEO?!! I hope so because the Gilbert Days Rodeo and other Gilbert Days events are fast approaching. In November, the rest of the Gilbert Royalty and I are going to be busy visiting schools, riding in the Pony Express, riding in the parade and rodeo, and much more! What a great way to celebrate the wonderful traditions and events the Town of Gilbert has to offer.
In the early 20th century, Gilbert was an agricultural community known as “The Hay Capital of the World”. But the town’s population has grown rapidly, due in part to its wonderful community spirit and desire to maintain meaningful traditions. The first Gilbert Days event celebrated the full paving of Gilbert Road. Now each year in November we observe that event with a fun filled week of activities. Don’t miss out on the fun! You can get more information at HYPERLINK "http://www.gilbertpromotionalcorp.org" www.gilbertpromotionalcorp.org.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to express again what an honor it is to be a member of the Gilbert Royalty. Involvement with this special group and the Gilbert Promotional Corp. has been fun, exciting, and educational. I would encourage all you young ladies who love horses and the equestrian lifestyle to consider becoming a rodeo queen. Applications and information about the Gilbert pageant will be available on the above web site in November.
Blessings to all and see you at Gilbert Days!
