The 2008 Pageant has moved to March and is being ramped up to create a uniquely glamorous event.
The 2008 Helzapoppin’ Rodeo Queen Pageant is slated for March 1, 2008, in order to place it in closer conjunction to the Helzapoppin’ PRCA Rodeo, slated for March 14th thru 16th. The winning contestant will be introduced in a ceremony at the final performance of the Rodeo, March 16, 2008.
The Pageant is open to young ladies between the ages of 18 and 24, never married, no children, and residents of Arizona for at least one year. Contestant applications will be accepted from eligible residents residing anywhere in Maricopa County. Prizes and gifts will be awarded to the newly chosen Queen and the first runner-up, who will be designated Helzapoppin’ Rodeo Princess. Included in the prizes will be a $1,000 scholarship to the Queen and $500 to the Princess.
The Helzapoppin’ Rodeo Queen Pageant is under the umbrella of the Helzapoppin’ PRCA Rodeo Committee, chaired by Tim Grandy, which is a program of the Buckeye Valley Chamber of Commerce.
