Voting was conducted during the 49th Wrangler National Finals Rodeo held Dec. 6-15 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
The top vote recipients were: Steer wrestling – Redigo Roman and Jule Hazen Team roping (heading) – Lite My Dynamite and Trevor Brazile Team roping (heeling) – Freckles Taz and Allen Bach Tie-down roping – Hickoryote Sue and Stran Smith
Cliff and Chad Van Campen own Redigo Roman and will receive a $2,500 check from Fort Dodge Animal Health, and Freckles Taz is owned by Kinney Harrell, who also will receive $2,500. The other winning horses are owned by their riders, and will receive a $5,000 check from Fort Dodge. “American Quarter Horses competing in professional rodeo events are great ambassadors of our breed,” AQHA Executive Vice-President Bill Brewer said. “These Fort Dodge Champion American Quarter Horses
