REQ PUBLIC HEARINGS

Hello from The REQ!

A lot has been happening behind the scenes here at The REQ, and I wanted to give you a quick heads up. We are in the process of wading through the long process of permitting to build The REQ, complete with a major land use designation we have applied for in order to allow us to build The REQ itself as well as additional visitor services.

This process is called a Master Planned Resort, and under the rules of growth management in this state, it requires public hearings.

Our first hearing will be February 28; 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Lewis County Courthouse (see address below).

We need supporters to appear and 1) testify on behalf of The REQ - just saying you are in support and why; or 2) simply attending and signing in, saying you are supportive; or 3) if you cannot attend, a written and signed letter of support.

Letters can be mailed to me directly, and I will see they are turned in. Or you can mail them directly to the courthouse:

There will be opposition from a small group who oppose ANY land use actions and growth in this county. They will try and stop this project using procedural delays and lawsuits with state and local agencies. Your show of support is the very best way to counter this activity, and its impact on county and state officials cannot be understated!
