InventHelp announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Killingworth, Conn., has developed an equine accessory to prevent horses from cribbing and chewing on wood. The inventor has created a prototype.

The CRIBBER INHIBITOR is designed to provide horse owners and caretakers with an improved way to discourage horses from engaging in chewing or cribbing habits. Unlike current methods, this device first deters unhealthy behaviors in a non-stressful manner and then gently redirects the horse's attention to a healthier, more positive form of self-amusement. This practical accessory could simultaneously promote equine health and prevent damage to fences, gates and other horizontal wooden surfaces.

The inventor got his idea while watching one of his own horses attempt to crib on a gate, and later devised the CRIBBER INHIBITOR based on what he'd observed. "It turned out to be even more effective than I'd hoped. It stopped her from cribbing, but it also stimulated her interest," he said. "I never expected that it would become one of her favorite games."

The original design was submitted to the Connecticut office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
