Queen Creek Junior Rodeo News

2008 is turning out to be a great year for the Queen Creek Junior Rodeo Cowboys and Cowgirls. The second rodeo of the year was held in Florence on February 23 and 24th. Everyone did very well and several of the families enjoyed some fun games following Saturday’s go-round of the rodeo. A special thanks to Cody and Geri Parker for organizing the games for everyone.

The All-Around winners in each age group received trophy breast collars and a customized halter and lead rope. Reserve all around winners received custom “bronc halters.” Taylor Allen was the Pee Wee Girl All Around with Baili Carter winning the Reserve Pee Wee Girl All Around. In the Pee Wee Boys, Chase Haggard was the All Around Cowboy with Braden Smith winning the Reserve All Around. Brylee Hall was the Junior Girls All Around with Makena Burris as the Reserve All Around winner. In the Junior Boys group, Britt Parker was the All Around Cowboy with Casey Brunson and Kole Kaler tying for the Reserve award. Kelsey Lutjen was named the All Around Cowgirl in the Senior Division with Kayla Squires as the Reserve winner. The Senior Boys All Around was Zane Hirsch with Clayton Brunson as the Reserve All Around recipient. The QCJRA is grateful to Sterling Udall for making the Florence rodeo such a success. The association has great supporters and it is showing up as we see so many young cowboys and cowgirls making progress and having lots of fun!

In April, the QCJRA will return to Florence on the 5th and 6th and in May we will conclude the 2008 season in Prescott on May 24 & 25th.
