Kentucky International Equine Summit announces speakers

The inaugural Kentucky International Equine Summit 2008 has secured more than 80 of the industry’s leading experts for April 28 and 29 event in Lexington. One of the three tracks is called “Wellbeing of the Competitive Horse.” Panelists and individual speakers will discuss the challenge of improving the effectiveness of efforts to keep equine athletes sounder and safer throughout competition, as well as the effectiveness of treatment following injury. Following is a partial list of confirmed speakers for this track:

The event is being sponsored by the Equine Industry Program in the College of Business at the University of Louisville in cooperation with the Equine Initiative in the College of Agriculture at the University of Kentucky. Other tracks for the two-day conference include Wellbeing of the Competitive Horse and The Emerging Science of Horse Breeding. The conference aims to bring together industry leaders to examine the issues facing the future of the equine industry.
