The American Quarter Horse Journal is the best way to target and grow a market in the equine industry, and the official publication of the American Quarter Horse Association is now improving for both advertisers and readers. Marking its 60th year of serving as the voice of the American Quarter Horse industry, the Journal will debut a new look with the June issue and has revamped its breeder color rates.

The Journal reaches 235,000 readers and is read by more AQHA judges and professionals than any other publication according to a recent study. The award-winning publication improves its audience targeting with a new sectioned layout and continues to have the most economical cost per thousand of all other equine publications. No equine business will want to miss the opportunity to advertise in the Journal – and no horse lover will want to miss an issue – during these much-anticipated changes.

Beginning with the June issue, the Journal will showcase a new layout featuring easily navigated color-coded sections for the American Quarter Horse disciplines of halter; rail and pattern; reining, cutting and cow horse; speed, rodeo and ropes; and ranching. This layout will not only get readers where they want to be faster, but it also will make advertisements more visible and relevant to their targeted audiences. To celebrate these exciting improvements, the Journal is offering new lower breeder four-color advertising rates.

“We are excited about these improvements,” said AQHA Executive Director of Publications Jim Jennings. “These changes come after extensive research and focus group comments where readers and advertisers gave us input on ways to improve the Journal to fit their needs.”

Through all of these improvements, the Journal will remain committed to quality content, featuring the same outstanding coverage of the greatest events, legendary horses and people, and tips on riding, training, management and health care that readers have come to expect.

Both new and current advertisers should participate in this cornerstone of a new era for the industry’s leading magazine. To celebrate these changes, there is a special full-page, four-color horse advertising rate for the June issue with the deadline approaching on April 20. To take advantage of this special and the new low rates of this leading publication, contact AQHA’s advertising department at (806) 378-4389.
