Randy Levesque of Equine Insurance Services Joins the Board of The Jumper Classic

In what was a natural move for a show jumping competitor whose company, Equine Insurance Services, has been a sponsor at The Jumper Classic for several years, Randy Levesque has joined the board of New England's only AGA sanctioned event. The Jumper Classic, which will be held September 3-7, 2008 in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, is now in its 19th year. Being on the board of an internationally-known horse show has its members wearing many hats, and Randy Levesque is very capable of this role.

President of The Jumper Classic, Melissa Lovasco, is delighted to have Levesque on the board, for he will bring his experience in the show jumping arena as well as the equestrian world of insurance services. "Randy is a wonderful guy to work with and he has always been enthusiastic and very professional as a sponsor and as a competitor at our show," she said. "His influence has been very helpful in previous years and he's a great resource."

Levesque lives in Middletown, Rhode Island with his wife Donna, their five children two dogs and three horses. He started riding ten years ago and has been competing in show jumping for about six years. This year he plans to compete at the show with his seven-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare, Lyla. He has also served on the board of City to Saddle, a non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to provide a diverse population of economically disadvantaged children access to the many benefits of horsemanship programs. City to Saddle will hold a charity luncheon at The Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic on Saturday, September 6th.

"I have always done all I can to help The Jumper Classic and already carry out many of the tasks that a board member performs," Levesque said from his busy Middletown, Rhode Island office. "When I was asked to join the board, my response was, how can I be of service and be constructive?" Levesque's love of the sport and his experience in the insurance industry have given him a great talent for helping people and for working as a team player on the business side of the show jumping arena.

The Jumper Classic's Chairman of the Board, Jeff Papows, added, "Like so many of the board's members, including myself, Randy is first and foremost a rider himself. The Jumper Classic is 'The Riders' Horse Show' and adding riders like Alexandra Cherubini and Randy Levesque to our board this year reinforces the seriousness of our mission statement."

Levesque's company, Equine Insurance Services, sponsored the $3,500 Futures Class at the 2006 & 2007 Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic. This year, Randy is proud to be the new sponsor for the all new and exciting Speed Stake. The $15,000 Equine Insurance Services Speed Stake Presented by Great American will take place this year on Sunday, September 7th, preceding the $75,000 Fidelity Investments AGA Grand Prix. This year's show, now located at the Silver Oak Equestrian Center in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, will also feature a $10,000 Welcome Stake on Friday, September 5th and the new $15,000 Derby sponsored by Mohegan Sun on Saturday, September 6th.
