EVAHA Presidents Message

As always it is a busy time of the year, gearing up for graduations, summer vacations, and of course regional shows and Youth Nationals. March 8th was our first of five mini circuit open horse shows held at P & M arena in Apache Jct. We had over 60 horses. April 5th kicked off our “Beat the Heat” Class A show held at Empty Acres in Buckeye AZ. We had a great show. All of us on the EVAHA board would like to thank Susan Witte for being our judge and doing a terrific job. We would also like to thank all of our volunteers and exhibitors who helped to make the show a success. Congratulations to the following EVAHA members for their wins. Arabian Gelding In-Hand Reserve Champion Karmelo, owned by Wendy and John Debevoise and shown by Patrick McGinnis, Arabian Stallion Champion went to SS Pejczyks Immortal, owned and showed by Robin Pike. Arabian Western Pleasure AT reserve champion RA I Kharumba owned and shown by Margo Saam, 3rd place going to Carzan owned and shown by Cynthia Border. Arabian Western Pleasure AO Champion was Carzan owned and shown by Cynthia Border. Arabian Hunter Pl AT, 1st place went to Caram owned by Helene Peterson and shown by Stephanie Felish.

We would also like to congratulate the following Champion and reserve handlers and riders from our May 3rd Mini Circuit at P& M arena where attendance was up again having 73 horses in attendance, as well as a lot of spectators. Halter Mares, Brittany Russell showing Extreme Focus and Reserve Champion Kimberly Luth showing Streak’s Little One. Halter Gelding/stallions Champion Kayla Lonchar showing Im a CD Wrangler and Reserve Champion, Ben Clark and SW Fable on Fire. Western Pleasure Champion, Leslie Donelson riding So Absolutly Chilled and Reserve Champion Kimberly Luth riding Streak’s Little One. Hunt Seat Champion went to Cady Espinoza riding WR Beyberry Fanci and taking Reserve Champion Kesley Utter riding Broken Zipper. This past mini circuit we had our first Hobby Horse Class. This class is sponsored by Hobby Horse and is for beginner walk/trot riders who have never won a blue ribbon. The winner takes home a $100.00 gift certificate from Hobby Horse. We would like to congratulate our first Hobby Horse winner Kayla Lonchar riding Im A CD Wrangler. We will have a Hobby Horse class at our September and October shows. Thanks for coming out and supporting us.
