Alltech Names Abe Senior Sales Representative

Alltech, a global leader in animal health and nutrition, announced the promotion of Chikako Abe to senior sales representative for Alltech’s New England territory, which includes Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.

“As Alltech’s business becomes increasingly global, our sales force is developing more of an international representation,” said Dr. Pearse Lyons, president and founder of Alltech. “We are delighted that Chikako and her husband made the move from Japan to Vermont. She is a very talented young lady, and we are thrilled with her enthusiasm.”

A native of Japan, Abe brings a wealth of experience to her new position at Alltech having worked for a number of major international companies including Mitsui and Bussan Biotech, a joint venture of Alltech and Mitsui. Abe obtained her Master’s in Poultry Nutrition from the University of Minnesota.

“The move to Vermont was a welcome adventure for my husband and me. It is a beautiful place, and my husband is thoroughly enjoying his studies as a post-doctorate researcher at the University of Vermont,” said Abe. “I am very excited about this new position, and I look forward to supporting the new territory manger for Alltech Vermont, Pieter Prinsloo.”
