Brittany Russell is an average high school student attending a not so average high school, Arizona Agribusiness and Equine Center, AAEC. While attending AAEC, Brittany has made time to succeed at high school, take college courses at Mesa Community College, and make a name for her self in the Paint/Pinto show industry.
She has been attending AAEC for two years, enrolling in college courses and spending Fridays at the stables. Her flexible schedule allowed her time to show and prepare her mare for both the world shows.
Brittany’s story began with the purchased of her Paint Mare SensationalAtMidnight, AKA Paris in January 2007. Brittany has been showing all year to qualify for both the Pinto and Paint world shows. Her hard work paid off, Brittany was a star in the Novice Youth Division at the Pinto World Show. Winning Reserve World Champion YA Novice Western Pleasure, Unanamous Champion in Disciplined Rail Western, YA Novice Western Horsemanship Champion, YA Novice Ideal Pinto Western Champion and YA Novice High Point.
At the Paint World Brittany continued her success, winning a World Champion title in Novice Youth Hunt Seat Equitation and a third place championship in Novice Youth Western Pleasure and Showmanship.
AAEC is an independent college preparatory high school, with an equine science emphasis. We are located at Power rd. and McKillips rd., adjacent to the Red Mountain MCC campus. Qualified students enroll in college classes paid for by AAEC while attending high school. For more information please call (480)854-1504.
