The clinic opened with an introduction to tack and equipment. Each horse entered the arena tacked up and ready to go. Bob checked every horse and addressed the ‘right and wrong’ of each horse concerning the fit and application of each piece of equipment. It was an eye-opening experience for many of the riders in the clinic. The portion of the clinic devoted to ground handling, leading, backing, turning, etc. went very well. We were impressed with the quiet attitude of the horses after a couple of hours of leadline control work.
There was a booth offering tack and supplies from Windmill Feeds. Lunch was provided by great high country caterers. The weather was perfect, with temps in the mid 70’s, sunshine and a light breeze. The next Clinic will be devoted to cues and controls on July 11, with an advanced session on August 8th.
