Wellington, Florida — Dr. Cesar Parra has qualified for the 2005 World Cup Dressage Final Presented by Offield Farms in Las Vegas. He will ride his 2004 Athens Olympic partner, Galant du Serein, owned by Horses Unlimited, a premiere American breeding establishment. Parra is one of 18 riders selected for this prestigious yearly championship that draws worldwide attention.

"I am very honored to ride in this Final," Parra said. "Riders dream of competing in the World Cup and now my dream has come true." Parra qualified by earning scores from 70-78% at CDI shows, including a 73.42% in the freestyle at the Palm Beach Derby CDI***.

Parra is a USDF Gold Medalist and finished fourth at the 2003 Pan American Games and took home a team silver medal at the 1999 Pan American Games. He has received top ribbons at prestigious shows around the world, including 2004 CHIO Aachen, where he rode Pik L to fourth place in the Intermediaire freestyle and Galant du Serein to eighth place in the Grand Prix Special. Galant du Serein is a 17 hand Selle Francais stallion, who is just in his second year at grand prix.

Parra originally hails from Colombia, but now calls Florida and New Jersey home. He began his career as a dentist, but devoted himself to his passion for horses full time when he moved to the United States in 1999.
