Horses We've Known Now Released by Horse Group Ltd.

author Tena Bastian with a 'horse she knows'

Recently released by The Horse Group Ltd. comes an entirely new concept in seeing your horses individual personalities and learning to better understand them.

The Horses We've Known by author and western poet, Tena Bastian offers a new and original insight into getting to know your horse better. From changing your basic vocabulary to replace words such as "problems" with "challenges" to her theories of action and reaction and how genetics and environment play a large part in who our horses are. Through stories of personal triumph, great loss and immeasurable grief, Ms. Bastian will take you on a journey that spans over a decade by introducing the reader to some very special horses and the lesson that is learned with each encounter.

Best known for her western poetry, her project Iron Horse was promoted by Professionals Choice to benefit NARHA with the original print featuring her work auctioned at The All American Quarter Horse Congress Super Sale. Her poetry has been in major magazines such as Horse and Rider, Equus and Horse Illustrated. Lessons learned and shared on everything from theraputic riding, the importance of getting agreements in writing and dealing with the death of a very special horse, nothing is held back.

With a personal introduction by the founder and president of The National Foundation Quarter Horse Association, The Horses We've Known will be an excellent addition to your equine book collection. To mark the book's official release, Tena Bastian will be at An Equine Affaire in Columbus, Ohio April 5th and 6th signing books. She will also be available to discuss one on one, the importance of getting to know your horse and how these theories can be applied in your relationships with your own horses.
