Arrrowhead riders... looking for something to do Saturday, May 19th? Arrowhead Riders is planning a great event on May 19th, 2001 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Arrowhead Equestrian Center (6351 West Soft Wind Drive, Glendale, Arizona 85310. The center is located off of 67th Avenue between Deer Valley Road and Happy Valley Road. Much entertainment will be provided. The only entry fee is 5 canned goods to get in. T.C. Thorstensen will be riding his buffalo through a ring of fire, Davy Cummins and his trick horse Eldorado will be featured. The Arizona Cowboy Mounted Shooters will be having a jackpot. There will also be a gymkhana that you sign for at 9 a.m. and it starts at 10 a.m. There will be some good prizes such as jewelry and buckles and trophies for the winners. You don't want to miss this one, and the entry fee is only $7 for all this good stuff to win! There is plenty of parking, the arena is big and has good footing, and a warm up arena is available as well.

There will also be a contest and prizes for the best decorated horse. This contest will take place at 7 p.m. You can bring paint, feathers or anything you want to decorate your horse with, and put him on display, as well as yourself. We will have a parade through the party; this will be filmed as part of a movie that will be in progress as the party goes on. Some people will buy lights at Michael's and put them on their horses!

Show up before 10 a.m. on the 19th of May and join the fun. There will be vendor booths you can buy from or rent yourself, if you have a product for sale. There will be a hay ride going on and three different bands playing during the day. The Dusty River Band will play in the evening.

There will be stunt men performing, as well as many movie stars on the set, acting and signing autographs. Kim Wayans will be present on the set at the party, along with Grizzly Adams, Kevin Knotts (Scary Movie II). Knotts is starring in a movie being filmed (in part at the Ranch that evening) about the Lost Dutchman Mine. Hollywood Director Art DeMancho will be on the set directing as the party progresses.

We are asking everyone to come May 19th and bring your horse and 5 canned goods for Saint Mary's Food Bank. If you have any questions call (623) 561-0449.
