Our first half of the year is winding down. Our last show before summer is May and then we have a few months break from putting on shows here in the valley, but many families will be traveling this summer out of state to national level shows and other shows. Don't be surprised if you see some POAs in some open shows around here, practice, practice, is the key.

Our two local POA stallions; Keno's Preferred Stock and Tough Rocket have produced some very nice ponies with lots and lots of color. We always love color since we are a color breed, the spots are very welcome.

Tough Rocket is a 51 1/2" few spot leopard. Tough Rocket does not spare on the color though. His last years get were out of two solid bay mares. One mare had a black filly with a blanket and lots of spots. This filly also has a lot of chrome on the face and legs. The other mare had a bay colt with a blanket and spots and lots of chrome also. His get this year so far consists of a black filly with blanket and spots and more chrome everywhere. Tough Rocket is tough on color and he is a 100% color producer to date.

Keno's Preferred Stock is a 54" black stallion with a solid white blanket. Keno's first get were this year with one mare being solid and the other a bay roan. The solid mare had a chestnut filly with frost and chrome on the face while the bay roan mare produced a bay colt with a large blanket and chrome to beat. Keno is also a 100% color producer to date. Keno also traveled to many POA events out of state last year. He has won Grand Champion Stallion while out and also has been a multiple winner of the most colorful class.

These two stallions are active in the POA club and can be seen at our local shows. They are also still breeding to date. If you are interested in breeding your horse to a POA, please feel free to call. It doesn't have to be a pony, horses are always welcome. These two stallions are small enough to keep those foals in height size if you're wanting a POA of your own.
