A FREE clinic on Team Roping will be held on May 12th, sponsored by the Arizona Quarter Horse Association. The event will be at Diamond Tree Ranch in Cave Creek, located on 53rd Street, just north of Dynamite Blvd. Diamond Tree is a full service boarding and training facility. Mike Drennan and Jason Hershberger are well known ropers in Arizona and are teaming up to put on this clinic. Both men are horse trainers, avid ropers; Mike is an AQHA judge and Jason, an AQHA special event judge. These two ropers have seen and done all there is to do in roping and have worked with all different types of problem horses. In the morning, everyone will practice on roping the dummy, and will be coached on all parts of groundwork.

In the afternoon, the clinic will move to working with ropers with their horses. Here, 20 ropers -10 teams - (who must sign up as a team by calling the AzQHA office (623) 869-8037 before May 10th) can get help with their horses. There is a cost for the afternoon part of the clinic, which is a cattle charge of $10 per team per run. Depending on the amount of teams signed up, teams will have 6-7 runs to have help with. This is a great way to get valuable information on your roping and horsemanship. Call today to make your reservations, slots are filling up fast. Refreshments will be available onsite. Come make a day of learning with helpful tips on roping and horsemanship. If you need more details, please call the AzQHA office (623) 869-8037 or log onto www.azqha.org for more information.
