94.5 The Mountain and the Reno Rodeo present...
CHRIS LEDOUX, LEE ANN WOMACK and
MARK CHESNUTT June 16-24 Reno Rodeo, Reno, NV. Contact Alan Kingsley 775-329-3877 The 94.5 FM The Mountain 2001 Reno Rodeo Kick-Off Concert is sure to be the best yet. 94.5 The Mountain, the "Official Reno Rodeo Radio Station" has guaranteed to kick-off the 82nd Reno Rodeo with a bang! This year's concert will feature 3 headliner-quality acts, Chris LeDoux, Lee Ann Womack and Mark Chesnutt. This year's concert marks the return of Chris LeDoux in more ways than one. Chris LeDoux competed in the PRCA as a bareback rider during the 1970's. He rode in the Reno Rodeo and placed high in the money several times. In 1976 he won the title of PRCA World Champion Bareback Rider. The Reno Rodeo Kick-Off concert will also mark his return to the live concert touring circuit as his first scheduled appearance since undergoing a liver transplant last October. Chris LeDoux is a well-known artist with hits like, "Cadillac Ranch" and "Whatcha Gonna Do With a Cowboy" with Garth Brooks. Lee Ann Womack will take center stage and put on a great performance to back up her stunning album, "I Hope You Dance." Lee Ann Womack started her career as a professional songwriter and soon became one of the breakout contemporary country stars of 1997 with her self titled debut album. She has received six Academy of Country Music Awards nominations this year for her album, "I Hope You Dance." She is nominated for, top female vocalist, album of the year, song of the year, single of the year, video of the year and vocal event of the year. Her performance should bring the house down. Mark Chesnutt will open the concert as he rocks the house with his revival of the old-fashioned honky-tonk sound. Mark Chesnutt has 12 No. 1 singles and 8 albums. His first album, "Too Cold At Home" went gold in 1991. Among his best known hits are; "Bubba Shot the Jukebox," "Old Flames Have New Names" and "I Just Wanted You to Know." | ||||
