The third weekend of September, at the ARIZONA HORSE LOVERS' PARK, will be the 13th Annual Autumn Show, hosted by the All Arabian Horse Society. Originating at the old trotting park in Goodyear, the Society moved to the Phoenix facility in 1995, and has enjoyed the growth and beauty of the event since then. Featuring premier classes for Arabians, Half Arabians & Anglo Arabians, and the show also offers the AMERICAN HORSE SHOWS ASSOCIATION REINING SEAT class, which is open to any and all breeds of horse. This is a reining seat equitation class, wherein the riders may choose their particular breed of horse, and follow their respective breed rules, while performing a reining pattern. Featured classes will include In Hand Conformation Classes, English Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Trail, Reining, Pleasure Driving, Native Costume, Lead line, Walk/Trot, and Stick Horse for the littlest of equestrienne. Judges will be Gene Holloway, of Erie, Colorado, and Ron Palalek of Snohomish, Washington. This show is the last entire show in which riders may use their placements as qualifiers for the current U. S. National Championship Show in October in Louisville, Kentucky. If their qualifications are not used for the 2001 show, they may be carried over to 2002. Exhibitors and spectators are encouraged to attend, and for a prize list, contact Lesley Bennett 480-585-3080, Mickey Hegg 602-604-3002, or Amy Loss 602-938-1712. There is no admission charge for spectators. Prize lists will be mailed to those already on the mailing list, and additional books may be obtained from local tack and feed stores. | ||||||
