Teddy Robinson & Katie Starlight, 1999 & 2001 winners: World's Greatest Horseman's Compeition

The World's Greatest Horseman competition finals was held on June 14 - 16, in Guthrie Oklahoma at the Lazy E Arena. Only three-years old, the contest has quickly gained keen interest from many top horseman and women across America. Winning the title, World's Greatest Horseman, requires competitors to perform in cutting, reining, steer stopping and working cow horse all on the same horse with the same bit. There can be no substitute riders.

This year Teddy Robinson narrowly beat Anne Reynolds to win. Third-place went to Don Murphy, fourth was Jon Roeser, fifth, Todd Crawford, sixth was Smoky Prittchett, seventh Ron Ralls, eighth went to Al Dunning, ninth Russell Dilday, and tenth Bobby Lewis.

Other top-twenty finishers included: Cal Cooper, Todd Bergen, Bob Avilla, J.D. Yates, Mike Miller, Ken Wold, and Doug Williamson. There was thirty-five entries in this years contest.

For Ted Robinson it was his second time in the winners circle having won the inaugural event. This year Ted rode the mare Katie Starlight owned by Paula Hunsicker.
